By the end of the course the participant will be able to:
-Describe four parenting strategies involving parent-adolescent conflict.
-Identify three self-criticism strategies causing adolescent's aggression resulting in parent-adolescent hostility.
-Discuss three strategies to use with oppositional defiant disordered adolescents to prevent violence in parent-adolescent conflicts.
-List three parenting skills to prevent adolescent academic failure.
-Describe levels of adolescent aggression.
-List three steps in writing rules that can be used in parent-adolescent relationships.

Program Narrative/Description: Program content focuses on application of psychological intervention methods that have overall consistent and credible empirical support in the contemporary peer reviewed scientific literature.
This course is designed to present practitioners with four parenting strategies involving parent–adolescent conflict. Three self-criticism strategies causing adolescent's aggression resulting in parent-adolescent hostility. Strategies to use with oppositional defiant disorder and conduct disorder adolescents to prevent violence in parent–adolescent conflicts. Parenting skills to prevent adolescent academic failure. Steps in writing rules that can be used in parent-adolescent relationship.
